THE latest Bluez 'n' Zuz event run by the police to keep young people off the streets and out of trouble has been staged.
As a result of local sponsorship from Batchelors Bikes, of Castle Street, Trowbridge, one young guest won a new BMX bike at the event.
Jordan Burbidge, 13, from Trowbridge, won the prize after taking part in a raffle at the party, which was held on Friday.
The events are run by the John of Gaunt neighbourhood policing team, and co-ordinated by police community support officer Dave Brown.
They are club-style music and dance events opened up to young people from in and around Trowbridge who would otherwise be hanging around on the streets.
Mr Brown said: "Batchelors agreed to let us have a discounted bike which provided a great prize for the event and Jordan was really pleased to win it.
"We will be running more Bluez 'n' Zuz parties in the future to help reduce anti-social behaviour in and around the town. It's a positive thing for Trowbridge."
