A MAN was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash near Warminster on Saturday.

The 43-year-old from Frome was riding his bike along the Victoria Road towards Corsley when it is believed he struck the roundabout at Cley Hill.

The incident, which happened at 8.39pm on Saturday, involved no other vehicles, police believe.

The rider has serious life-threatening injuries and is being treated in hospital. His identity has not yet been released.

Police officers from the Road Policing Unit in Amesbury, who are dealing with the case, are looking for witnesses to the incident.
