LOCAL charitable groups are once again being invited to claim grants of up to £50,000 available through the Wiltshire Times & Chippenham News.
The Gannett Foundation Fund, the charitable arm of the Wiltshire Times & Chippenham News' parent company Gannett, is looking for registered charities, which would benefit most from extra funding.
The foundation provides grants twice a year but the deadline for applications is Friday October 17.
Wiltshire Times news editor Craig Evry said: "The grants only come round twice a year so it is well worth applying.
"Make sure you read through the criteria which will be sent out with the application form to ensure you are eligible to apply, and make sure everything is filled in fully."
Only the 2008 application forms can be used to apply.
All applicants must be a registered charity and the Gannett Trust does not fund salaries, publicity campaigns or general running costs.
Grants are not given to schools, public or private, except to schools catering for children with disabilities or complex needs.
The same rule applies to pre-schools and after-school clubs and uniformed groups such as the scouts and guides.
Application forms and information on the criteria are available from the Wiltshire Times offices in Duke Street, Trowbridge, or by visiting our website at www.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/news/gannettgrants/ or email cevry@newswilts.co.uk Call (01225) 773638 for more information.
