THE Arc Theatre in Trowbridge is celebrating its 10th Birthday with a free party that everyone is invited to on Sunday 21 September between 10am and 4pm.
There will be lots going on including a performance for 3 - 5-year-olds to watch and take part in, 'Where Does A Raindrop Drip?', and make sea creatures to use during the performance; a sneak preview of the latest production from Big State, The Arc's theatre company in residence, an opportunity to have a go at Salsa dance, Street dance, Integrated dance (for all ages with or without learning difficulties).
Local performer Teresa Bray will be taking a singing workshop, where people of all ages will learn 'I'll Do Anything' from Oliver.
All of those taking part in the workshops will have an opportunity to perform later in the day. There will also be a diary room where people can record their experiences of The Arc, and how they might like The Arc to be for the next 10 years.
There will be face painting, live music from the Village Pump, a large piece of Artwork being created, tours and lots more.
Tracy Sullivan the Arc Theatre Director said: "I am hoping that The Arc's 10th Birthday Party open day will be an opportunity not only to celebrate all that has been achieved over the past 10 years, but to look forward to years to come and what part The Arc can play in the future of Trowbridge and West Wiltshire."
"The open day will be an opportunity to 'try before you buy' on a number of our participatory groups and performances. I hope that people come along have a lot of fun whilst showing support for their local theatre".
The Arc Theatre's Autumn and Winter Season is now open for bookings. Please contact The Arc on 0845 299 0476 for a new brochure or visit www.arctheatre.org.uk.
