BUSINESSMAN Dean Gosley, 27, died in hospital on Tuesday after his Mercedes collided with a tree off the A350 near Lacock in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Fire crews were able to cut Mr Gosley free but he died on Tuesday in Frenchay Hospital, Bristol.
The former Hardenhuish student, 27, who recently moved to Melksham from Chippenham, ran his own business Audio Visual Solutions in Woodpecker Mews, Chippenham.
His business partner Dan Tucker, 26, knew him for 15 years.
He said: "Dean is someone who would do anything for anyone. If you needed something fixing or a cheap car battery or you just needed helping out, Dean would always be there for you.
"Dean had always loved cars. From a young age he could fix people's car stereos and charge them. He set up the business about three or four years ago and it has gone from strength to strength. He was just great to be around. If you were in a bad mood or feeling down he would make the effort to cheer you up."
