THE mother of a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week is appealing for her to get in touch to let her family know she is safe.

Bethany Stevens, from Rutland Crescent in Trowbridge, walked out of her home on Sunday November 9 and has not been seen since.

Her mother Avril Stevens said she has never gone missing before and the family is desperately worried about her safety.

She said she believes her daughter, a Clarendon College pupil, is with an 18-year-old boy she has recently made friends with.

Mrs Stevens said: “We don’t know much about him and we are worried for her safety now.

“Nobody knows where she is - we are just getting desperate.”

The family have made posters appealing for information on her whereabouts and Mrs Stevens said Bethany’s 10-year-old sister Megan is missing her big sister.

Anyone with any information should contact Wiltshire Police on 0845 408 7000.
