POLICE and paramedics are currently at the scene of an incident in Trowbridge in which a cyclist has been knocked over.

The man, thought to be in his 70s, came off his bike in Union Street.

The Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News understands the man was knocked over when someone in a parked car opened the door as he rode past.

An ambulance first responder car is at the scene and is treating the man, who is conscious and currently lying in the road covered in a foil blanket to keep him warm.

Police officers are speaking to the woman driver of a silver VW Sharan and other witnesses and are directing traffic around the site of the crash.
