A walking map of Corsham has been produced in a bid to encourage people to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
Corsham Town Council has worked in partnership with the Martingate Shopping Centre to produce the map, showing all of the public rights of way.
Many of those marked on the list date back hundreds of years to when they were used for access to the town market and local quarries.
Council chairman Allan Bosley said: “We want people to visit Corsham and use the extensive network of footpaths here to discover the stunning scenery we enjoy every day.
"We also hope the map will hold a few surprises for Corsham’s residents and they will want to explore places they’ve not been to before.” The Corsham Walking Map, which is produced in handy leaflet form not only displays all of the walking routes in Corsham, but also ones in Pickwick, Rudloe, Neston and Gastard.
It also explains some of the town’s fascinating history alongside information about natural highlights such as the Beechfield Nature Area and The Batters.
Walkers can also enjoy the Corsham Tree Trail, a gentle, hour-long stroll in and around the centre of town.
Copies of the Corsham Walking Map are available from the Town Hall, the Tourist Information & Heritage Centre and other businesses around the town.
