A gardener from Trowbridge who last year dedicated a new variety of flower to his late mother, has now grown another variety in memory of his father.
Clive Webb, 66, of Wyke Road, Trowbridge, has called the white single variety of chrysanthemum, Albert Webb, after his father.
Mr Webb said his father, known as Jack and who worked for Wiltshire County Council in the highways department, died in 1994 at the age of 85.
His new variety has been officially recognised by the National Chrysanthemum Society.
Last October, he named a bronze variety of the flower after his mother, Rosina.
He said: “I have got five more seedlings coming on in the green house this year so I don’t know what they’re going to turn out like.
“I’m not sure who’s next in line for me to name one after.”
He said chrysanthemums were his favourite type of flowers as they can last up to a month in water when brought into the house.
