Young apprentice from Bromham praised

Mechanic Daniel Sheppard from Bromham has spoken of his surprise and delight at being named Apprentice of the Year.

Mr Sheppard, 20, who works at Curry’s Motors in Bath Road, Devizes, could scarcely believe his ears when his name was read out at the Wiltshire College awards ceremony at the Arc Theatre in Trowbridge.

He said: “I knew I was likely to get the motor apprentice award but to win the overall prize was a total shock.

“My boss, Nick Hale, had a smile all over his face.

“My little sister, Rhiannon, had come along with me and she was screaming. It was great.”
