Wiltshire College students attended a personal safety day at their Lackham campus to ensure they know how to keep themselves safe.
More than 60 students attend the event, which was run to give them the chance to learn about local organisations and charities that work to help keep young people safe, as well as learning about different services offered by Wiltshire College.
The event is part of a series organised throughout the year by the college’s community campus team.
Apprentice Youth Support Worker at Lackham, Sarah Walker, said: "The Personal Safety Day is important as it promotes a responsibility among our students to keep themselves safe.
"It was a great success with many students leaving with useful information that they hadn’t considered before."
On offer during the event was information about being safe on a night out with the Street Pastors, drugs and alcohol safety with New Highway, safer sex with the Terrence Higgins Trust and No Worries Peer Support with students Aimee Harman and Abi Linnington who were also talking to students about safe sex.
Further personal safety days are scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at the Trowbridge campus and on Wednesday, March 28 at the Salisbury campus.
