Power cut hits Trowbridge

A power cut struck Trowbridge this lunchtime with parts of the town being left without any electricity.

For around 15 minutes homes and businesses in the town, including Wiltshire College, Tesco Extra at County Way and the Wiltshire Times’ Duke Street office, were affected.

Traffic lights at County Way were also not working.

Since 12.05pm the electricity in the town has been working as normal and Southern Electric is currently investigating what caused the power cut.
