Hundreds of people descended on Trowbridge for a Wiltshire Times Jobs Fair.
Employers and training organisations offered advice to people facing redundancy, those leaving the military, the unemployed and those finishing their education.
The National Careers Service, Wiltshire College, Mencap, Somerset Care, the Brandon Trust and Enara, were among organisations present on Thursday last week.
Organiser Di Powell, the recruitment advertising manager for the Times, said: “It has been a great opportunity for these organisations to showcase what they offer.
“There has been a diverse range of people and, hopefully, many of them have taken a lot of useful information away.”
One exhibitor – Bright Assessing – came from the West Midlands. Bright’s Vicky Mullen said: “We do six-week funded courses to train up NVQ assessors. If we have enough interest here in Trowbridge, we will run a session.”
Careers events are being planned for Warminster and Westbury.
