An employee of Summit Chairs in Bradford on Avon will cycle to the town from Reading, in aid of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Chris Clark has organised the trip for his colleagues and relatives because of support the charity gave his nieces – Kori Peerman, six, and Chloe Foulatier, nine – after both were diagnosed with cancer in the past year.

Mr Clark said: "My family have been so impressed with the support they continue to receive from CLIC that they wanted to give something back."

A group of 14 cyclists will travel the 65 miles alongside the Kennet and Avon Canal, to finish at the Plough Inn, Trowbridge Road, for a barbecue and fundraising raffle on Saturday afternoon.
