PUPILS at The Grove Primary School, Trowbridge, have been collecting up their pennies for youngsters in The Gambia.
Teacher Amy Wright is spending a year at a school in Gunjar in the Gambia and links have developed between the two schools.
Children at the school have raised hundreds of pounds through fundraising initiatives. The latest idea is a giant map of Africa behind a Perspex screen, into which the children can drop the coins they have collected until the map is covered.
