Volunteers are being sought for a management committee of an over-60s group which offers support to people in Hilperton and the surrounding area.
Organisers of the Tuesday Friends, which meets weekly at The Giffords sheltered housing, in Greenhill Gardens, support people from the accommodation as well as the wider community.
To ensure it survives, organisers of the group, which is part-funded by Wiltshire Council and supported by Age UK Wiltshire, want people who can spare a few hours a month to become part of the committee.
Dina La Vardera, a support worker with Age UK Wiltshire’s Community Day Services, said: “In some cases, these clubs can be the only contact that the members have with people during the week and they act as a lifeline for the elderly.”
New committee volunteers will focus on finding funding rather than any involvement in the club on Tuesdays.
The club provides a place for the over-60s to meet and make friends, as well as a range of entertainment.
Mrs La Vardera said: “We would be happy to hear from anyone with some kind of experience, whether that be from ordinary family life or from their business life, who could come forward and offer their support to the club.”
The management committee meets about four times a year to discuss the future.
The club is run by a paid organiser and a team of volunteers. It is happy to hear from local elderly people who want to join.
