Thousands in cash and cigarettes stolen from Atworth petrol station

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a fuel garage where a large amount of cash and cigarettes were stolen.

The incident took place overnight between midnight on Friday September and 7am on Saturday at the Bear Garage on Bath Road, Atworth.

Thieve(s) managed to gain access to the garage and, once inside, stole a considerable amount of cash and a large number of cigarettes.

A man was caught on CCTV within the garage. He is described as wearing a grey hooded top, dark jacket, grey gloves and dark material covering his face.

Anyone who was in the area, or used the Bath Road, at anytime on the evening of Friday 28th September or the early hours of Saturday 29th September is asked to contact Wiltshire Police.
