Crews from Chippenham, Calne and Melksham attended the house in Oaklands at about 11.34am after smoke was seen coming from the property.
The fire stemmed from a frying pan left on a cooker. Firefighters used ventilation fans to clear the smoke.
One person was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
