An 18 year old local man, who was driving the Ford, was killed and his 14 year old sister, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital suffering from head injuries.
It is thought the bus crossed the carriageway and hit the car and the driver is currently in custody on driving offences.
Anyone who witnessed the crash should contact police at the central roads policing unit on 0845 4087000.
