A COMPOSTING surgery takes place at a local garden centre next month as part of a new green campaign.
The session takes place at Whitehall Garden Centre near Lacock on Saturday May 10 from 10am to 2pm.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and the Wiltshire Waste Partnership have joined up for another year to promote the benefits of home composting.
Since the Recycle Now campaign launched, 1.7 million compost bins have been bought.
The scheme, which aims to encourage residents to compost more at home by offering tips, advice and cheaper compost bins, has proved a huge success in Wiltshire, with more than 6,892 bins sold to residents in the last year.
Home composting is still one of the best ways to help the environment on a daily basis, and is a habit that can be quickly incorporated into your regular kitchen and garden routines.
