St Cyriac's Church in Lacock is holding a fortnight of events in and around the village to mark the Queen's Jubilee and London Olympics.

The fortnight runs from Saturday, May 12 until Sunday, May 27 and is designed to reach out and involve all age groups and community groups in the village.

Held under the baner Flame of Hope, the programme of events will include puppet theatre, an evening with BBC scientists Mark Brake and Rapper Jon Chase, a pub quiz, an evening for the ladies entitled Better than Chocolate, among others still to be finalised.

The fortnight will be launched on Saturday, May 12 by Bishop Lee from Swindon and a Ugandan Choir, and will culminate with a Songs of Praise and Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, May 27.
