I am privileged to have been selected as the Conservative Candidate for the newly constituted Trowbridge & North Bradley ward.
Since 1976, I have represented the Drynham Ward; the new Ward consists of part of the Drynham ward together with the villages of North Bradley and Yarnbrook.
Many residents, not least those in North Bradley, joined with me in opposing the proposed boundary changes but they were confirmed in February by the Boundary Commissioners and the new ward was established from 1 March.
During my time as a District Councillor, I have always made a point of listening to the views of the electors and to act in accordance with my manifesto promises.
Given the development pressures in our area I consider it imperative that we maintain the green belt buffer zones between Trowbridge and the villages so that North Bradley and Yarnbrook maintain their separate identities.
