I am standing for the District council elections because I believe that the recreational facilities in Trowbridge are inadequate especially for a County town.
I am fortunate that living on the Broadmead estate we have an abundance of green spaces where my children are able to go and play football, ride bikes etc.
Other Trowbridge residents are not so fortunate and are totally reliant on what is on offer in the town.
As far back as I care to remember we have been promised cinemas, bowling alleys etc and in reality what we actually have are piles of rubble and parts of Trowbridge are derelict.
As your councillor I would be looking at every opportunity to develop the sporting and entertainment facilities within Trowbridge and I would like to fully endorse Trowbridge Town FC's attempts to build a football ground as well as indoor pitches that the whole town could benefit from.
