Mike Sutton
Mike Sutton has lived in Wiltshire since 1972, moving from Trowbridge to Westbury in 1990.
He has recently retired from the post of Head of Safety for Railtrack where he was responsible for stations, structures, depots and buildings covering all safety, environmental and security issues.
A keen environmentalist Mike has been a member of Greenpeace since 1981.
He recognises the importance of housing, transport and employment but believes they must be part of a strategy that protects the quality of life and the sustainability of the world around us.
Mike also feels that Westbury has lost out on many vital services. Our hospital closed by the PCT without any consultation and a total disregard of any sort of compassion and thought for the patients who were still there when it was closed.
He is a graduate with degrees in Chemistry and Education, a member of the Institute of Public Health, a Justice of the Peace, a Director of the Institute of Railway Operators.
