The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald and our sister paper the Wiltshire Times are delighted to report that, thanks to our readers, we’ve already hit the £50,000 target we set ourselves to raise for Help for Heroes. However, we’re not stopping there.

With three months still to go of the appeal we want to raise even more. The money will stay in Wiltshire and be used to help build a personnel recovery centre in Tidworth.

Charity founders Bryn and Emma Parry are delighted our readers are coming on board and believe they can make a real difference. The couple themselves live in Wiltshire and know how generous people in the county can be.

You can become involved in our appeal by organising a fundraising event of any kind.

It is important you still register your event in the normal way on the Help for Heroes website but when you send your cash mention the Gazette or Wiltshire Times appeal and then the administrative team will know you want it to go to our appeal.

Even if you have already registered your event with the charity it is not too late to decide to put your cash through our appeal. To ensure your event receives maximum publicity email assistant editor Joanne Moore on jmoore@newswilts.co.uk
