Bradford on Avon bike firm to mark 50 years of pedalling

A Moulton bike
A wheelie big celebration is planned in Bradford on Avon to celebrate 50 years of the Moulton Bicycle Company.
The business, launched in 1962 by Dr Alex Moulton, was the first bike makers to produce small wheeled bicycles for adults.
Dr Moulton said: “The Moulton bicycle was born out of my resolve to challenge and improve upon the classic bicycle, with its diamond frame and large wheels, which has locked bicycle design into that form since the pioneering work in England of Starley and others at the end of the 19th century.”
Moulton bike fan Sir James Dyson is expected to attend the golden anniversary bash.
