When she’s not busy in the pool Stephanie Millward has been getting back into the saddle, learning to ride again after 14 years.

Miss Millward, a keen rider as a teenager, has been working with the Saxon group of Riding for the Disabled, and is already rising to her latest sporting challenge.

RDA volunteer Heather Marshall said: “I contacted her a few months ago, and she came along as a volunteer, and has already managed to get us a £500 grant. It’s amazing her ability to switch from one sport to another, and after her time away she’s coming along really well with her riding.”

The Saxon group is based at Widbrook Equestrian Centre in Trowbridge Road in Bradford on Avon, and runs once a week offering riding to up to 24 adults and eight children.
