Bradford on Avon pharmacist Paul Moloney is hoping to get support from his customers as he tries to beat his personal best during next month’s London Marathon.

Mr Moloney, 32, has run Silver Street Pharmacy since July 2012 and is training tirelessly to raise money for the Forever Friends Appeal for the new Cancer Centre at Royal United Hospital in Bath.

He said: “My wife works at the RUH and sees the work the hospital does. I have set up a donations page and will put a collection bucket in the pharmacy. I hope cust- omers will be supportive. ”

He ran the Manchester Marathon in April last year for Cancer Research, clocking a time of 3hrs 27mins, and has prepared for the London Marathon by completing Ironman events in Switzerland and Wales.

He will take to the streets of London to join thousands of fundraisers for the 26 mile race on April 13. His wife Kate, who works as a clinical trials pharmacist at the RUH, and their two children, George, four, and Emi, two, will be there supporting him.
