A LORRY driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle collided with a JCB loader at Woolley Grange Farm, Woolley Green, on the B3105 this afternoon.

The 44-tonne articulated lorry, carrying furniture, collided with the loader as it left the farm’s entrance just before 2.45pm resulting in the JCB being flipped onto its side.

Police closed the B3105 between Leigh Park crossroads and Holt Road while the loader was removed from the road.

The JCB loader driver was not hurt and the HGV driver was taken to the Royal United Hospital, Bath, to be checked over.
