Fundraisers are being encouraged to put their best foot forward in Dorothy House’s Firewalk challenge, aiming to raise £10,000 for the hospice.

The event on February 13 will give 50 people an opportunity to walk over 800 degree hot coals after an hour’s motivational briefing.

Phillippa Watson, Dorothy House fundraiser, said the event has become a crowd pleaser. She said: “It’s an opportunity that stretches people and is an exciting way to fundraise. Before and after the event, it’s a fantastic conversation piece that will have all your friends captivated with intrigue.”

Registration for the event is £30 and walkers must raise a minimum £100 in sponsorship, which they should bring along on the night.
