A PUBLIC meeting tomorrow will be the last chance for residents in Bradford on Avon to voice their opinion on the proposed Historic Core Zone before a town poll takes place on February 5.

A series of public meetings have already taken place at St Margaret’s Hall, along with an exhibition to showcase the proposal which aims reduce the dominance of traffic in the centre of town and to make it clear to drivers that pedestrians have “equal rights” as vehicles.

It was unanimously decided that a town poll should take place in a town meeting on January 6, which would allow electorates within the town boundary the right to vote.

Wiltshire Council, which is funding the poll, have now distributed notices to the town residents who are eligible notifying them that the poll which will be held on Thursday, February 5 between 4pm-9pm.

There will be seven polling stations available including Mount Pleasant Centre, Lambert Community Centre, Wiltshire Music Centre, Bearfield Church, Youth Development Centre (double-station) and St Margaret’s Hall.

The exhibition will continue to be displayed until the day of the poll in the Coach House, at the Swan Hotel. Many councillors will be at the public meeting to answer any questions you may have about the plans.

The last public meeting will be held at St Margaret’s Hall tomorrow at 7pm.
