FRIENDS of Westwood School are hoping to reach their fundraising target of £3,000 this weekend when they host the village's annual scarecrow trail.
The theme of the two-mile trail, now in its fourth year, is heroes and villains and more than 30 scarecrows will make an appearance during the week-long event.
Last year, the trail theme was nursery rhymes to coincide with the nursery's 30th birthday which raised more than £1000, split equally between Friends of Westwood with Iford School and Westwood Nursery School.
The funds this year will be donated towards improving outdoor spaces at the school and nursery.
The trail will start and finish at Westwood village shop. Trail maps cost £3.
The event starts on Saturday and will run until the following Sunday (May 31).
