MOTORISTS could expect parking delays next week as Wiltshire Council will partially close the station car park in Bradford on Avon for three days.

The work is due to start on Monday to allow for parking bays to be relined and painted.

Despite previous reports, the work will be carried out throughout the day and Wiltshire Council will section off a large area of the car park each day to minimise the impact on commuters.

A Wiltshire Council spokesman added: “The work is scheduled to reline the whole of Bradford on Avon Station car park over three days on 13, 14 and 15 July.

“Multiple signs have been placed advising regular users of the car park.

“We will section off a large area of the car park on each day, as soon as the paint is dry the parking bays will be available for use on that day. We will ensure an officer will be on site to help and liaise with the public regarding any parking issues.

“In addition all permit holders can use any other Bradford on Avon Wiltshire car park on the days affected. Disruption will be kept to a minimum and work tends to start very early in the morning.”
