THE family of Sue Timbrell from Holt have said her “absence has left a huge void which will never be filled” in a tribute issued today.

Mrs Timbrell, of Holt, was reported missing by her husband last Tuesday and extensive searches were carried out in the area to try and locate her.

Teams from Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) aided police in the search including the River Avon at Staverton which is where her body was found on Saturday afternoon

In the statement, the family said: "Sue was loved by all who knew her and she will be sadly missed.

"We have always been a very close family and Sue’s absence has left a huge void which will never be filled.

"We are now supporting each other through this difficult time and we would like to thank all the people who have helped us over the last week, especially the people at Firlawn Nursing Home where she had so many wonderful friends, and members of staff from WILSAR and the police who were involved in the search for Susan."

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding Mrs Timbrell’s death, and a file will now be prepared for H M Coroner for Wiltshire.
