THE PRINCESS Royal will be paying a visit to Winsley's Dorothy House Hospice Care as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations on June 21.

Princess Anne will attend a garden party as well as enjoying the first viewing of the hospice's birthday exhibition, highlighting the work of Prue Dufour since its conception 40 years ago.

She will also meet patients and their carers, Dorothy House staff and volunteers and supporters from across the 700sq mile community.

Dorothy House chief executive John Davies said: “We are delighted the Princess Royal will again be visiting us to mark the 40 years of excellent care provided to those people and communities who have received our support.

"It always means such a lot to our patients, their families and carers, as well as our staff and volunteers, to see her here.

The Royal visit will be closed to the general public, but following the visit the hospice will be opening its touring exhibition and film to the public.
