BRADFORD on Avon was sent into orbit tonight with an outer space lantern procession.

More than 1,000 people took part in the parade to mark the final evening of the town's two-week long art festival.

From 7.30pm, hordes of participants, both young and old, marched from the Tithe Barn just after sunset, parading along the illuminated river and onto the end of summer party in Westbury Gardens.

The carnival like atmosphere continued with music, performances, games, food and drink and much more.
