AN EXCITING new collaboration has brought a series of gigs to the bar/foyer space at the Wiltshire Music Centre, with standing room only for the first night this month.
The SideDoor, created by local musicians Lisa and Chris Samuel, the inspiration behind the popular Bradford Roots Music Festival, is aiming to create an intimate atmosphere where you can enjoy the music and the fantastic acoustic in a relaxed environment.
"The first gig in October with The Black Feathers was a great success, with tickets selling out quickly," said Lisa, who runs BoA Promotions with her husband. "In November BoA Promotions are very happy to bring another pair of top quality musicians to Bradford on Avon – Tobias Ben Jacob and Lukas Drinkwater, from Devon.
"Jacob's sweeping vocals deliver many a spine-tingling moment, with his songwriting weaving themes of love, adversity, memory and hope. Drinkwater provides the perfect counterfoil with his double bass, at times sweetly soaring, then driving, haunting or percussive.
"The duo's live show, with all its energy, musical chemistry and spontaneity offers a tasty mix of rhythmic double bass, precise finger-picking and stirring vocal harmonies.
"Buy your tickets directly and when you arrive, enter via the side door!"
The due play on Sunday, November 13: bar opens at 6pm, music starts at 7pm. Tickets £10 (£5 under 18s) from 01225 860100/www.wiltshiremusic.org
