The annual district Scout cooking competition too place at the Southwick and North Bradley scout headquarters on January 29 and was as usual organised by the District Active Support unit.
This year the three teams came from Bowerhill, Bradford on Avon and Warminster.
The teams had to cook a three course meal with a budget not exceeding £17, based on the theme A Past, Present of Future Scout Badge.
The organisers were pleased to welcome Ray and Pam Marsh from the Frome District and they had a very difficult job judging the different menus, but at the same time giving some help and advice to all the young people.
The winners were the team from Bradford on Avon, who received a certificate and the competition shield from the district commissioner Chris Broom, who also thanked everybody who had helped to make the day successful. The winners will now go on to the county round at Potterne on February 26.
