A holiday maker who fell into the canal in Bradford on Avon has found her saviour after an appeal was launched on Facebook.

Helly Teggin took to social media after her mother Irene Teggin fell into the canal on March 5 to try and find the mystery hero who jumped in after Irene and dragged her to safety.

Colin Seal, who saved Mrs Teggin, replied to the post on Facebook saying: ""I'm very pleased to hear your mum is recovering. She was in quite a bad state when we got her out. It is very flattering to read all the comments, but there was no risk to me at all."

Mr Seal was with his family when he saved Mrs Teggin-who cannot swim.

Mrs Teggin posted in response: "Thank you so much for posting here, Colin. It was a long shot coming to Facebook to find you but my parents were desperate to find you. I can't thank you enough."
