COMEDY favourites Barry Cryer and Ronnie Golden are coming to Bradford on Avon as part of Bath Comedy Festival.

The duo will be taking to the stage at Wiltshire Music Centre in Ashley Road on Wednesday (April 5) where they will be performing a two-hour set for their slot in the festival line-up.

Cllr John Potter said the performance was a great way to attract visitors to Bradford and showcase the town's quality venues.

“This is a big thing for the town and for the music centre," he said.

"It is great that it will get people from Bath over to Bradford on Avon for the show.

"The music centre is a wonderful venue – better than some of the places in Bath.

"We now also have the renovated Holy Trinity Church and St Margaret’s Hall.”

“Bath Comedy Festival is getting big and it attracts some very good names. The organisers want it to be like the Edinburgh Fringe,” added Cllr Potter.

The performance, which still has a few tickets left, is just one of many taking place between April 1 and 17. Visit www.bathcomedy.com for listings and tickets.
