A WILTSHIRE and Somerset women's morris dance group is appealing for new members.

Mr Wilkins’ Shilling are holding a taster session in Batheaston for anyone looking for a new way to keep fit.

Members, who dance North West or clog morris, are inviting new dancers to come and "have a go" on Thursday, January 25.

The taster session will take place from 8pm to 10pm at their practice hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Batheaston, BA1 7EN. The hall entrance is in the car park behind the church.

Spokesperson Jan Tatem said: “During the evening, a simple dance will be taught, and the emphasis is on having fun.

“No previous experience is needed - just a sense of humour! Although the dancers are female only, male or female musicians would be most welcome to join the house band at any time.”

Further details can be found on the group’s website - www.mrwilkinsshilling.org.uk or by calling Jan Tatem on 01225 859338.
