PEOPLE living in Bradford on Avon are being consulted on plans to create a graffiti wall behind a store in the town.
The outside artwork proposed at the rear of Heaven Scent in Frome Road would be created over five days by local young people, under the supervision of a professional artist. The project aims to stop obscene graffiti being daubed on the wall.
Cllr Rosemary Brown said: “We are very keen to find out if local people are supportive of this project, which could be an exciting opportunity for young people from Bradford to create a unique piece of artwork.”
The plan received support from the town council last month, provided it can be implemented by March.
The council has also bought nearly 30 prickly bushes to be planted in front of the graffiti wall next year to protect the artwork.
People can have a say on whether they want the art work via flyers, which are available from the town library until January 4. The results will be presented to the area board on January 19 at St Laurence School.
