Put a dualcarraigeway through the middle of the town with a Forth Bridge like crossing of the river to sort the problem out!

NO, a 7.5T weight limit on the whole town centre would be far more appropriate. Our roads just aren't upto bigger trucks.

Would the 7.5 tonne weight limit be for the overweight residents or just aimed at trucks?

Now there is a good idea, make some of the fatties walk for once rather than blagging a disabled badge so they can park their state provided car where they like.

What happens to the drivers? Is it an offence to ignore the clear road signs? Are they charged? Are they sacked?

Put a bloody sensible road right through the place to allow us drivers to get around Bath to the M4 easier.....just demolish the current bridge, build a sensible one.....get rid of a few empty shops.....problem solved and whats more the bridge watch team can get back to knitting blankets for the cats and dogs home!

Yeah, that Bridge in town must be bloody centuries old! And built for Horses and Carts. How long are we going to keep playing the 'Heritage' card in order to skimp and save a few quid? Bradford should have had a more modern bridge built ages ago. In fact, it should have been upgraded at the start of the industrial revolution. If not before. It's high time the eyesore of Bradford Town Bridge was torn down to make way for a more modern crossing. You can barely get two tubby chicks walking side by side on the pavement in places, and it's resulted in the Town's retail stagnation.

And the disproportionate number of Antique shops and Pubs there are. (Count the Pubs, Bradford has the watering capacity of a Town 6 times it's size)

In fact, it might be better to have a road tunnel in place, under the River. Then there wouldn't be such a risk of blind drunk staggerers, spilling out of the Riverside, and trying to find their way home by
shouting "Rah rah rah" at the top of their lungs, and using echo location to stumble around Town until 3am!
Everyone in Bradford seems to have alcohol 'issues' today. (Even if it is only getting kept awake every weekend by the Native's Stella Male Voice Choirs) In my day it was glue, and the only shouting at night seemed to be the occasional voice howling "PADDY!" or "MAYLER!" From the top of Town to Poulton and back. But then, we never had mobile phones. Or late licensing. Had to make our own fun in them days. . . . .Out of old tennis balls and home made skateboards. . . .
