An event celebrating all things Bradford on Avon is taking place in St Margaret’s Hall on Saturday, March 3.
Made in Bradford on Avon, running from 10am until 4pm, aims to pay tribute to the town’s industries and crafts by showcasing the enterprises which have made Bradford on Avon renowned locally, nationally and Internationally.
At the event, there will be participants representing local food producers, manufacturers, craftsmen and other enterprises which have helped put Bradford on Avon on the map.
Made in Bradford on Avon is part of a wider focus project co-operative, ran by BOAcan and supported by Bradford on Avon Town Council, which aims to promote the town.
Organiser Wellie O’Dris-coll said: “We are holding this event and the further Made in Bradford on Avon events to highlight the vast amount of talent that exists here.
“I have to admit even organising this event it has been quite enlightening for me discovering some of the things Bradford on Avon has to offer.
“So, we are hoping to celebrate the people that help make Bradford on Avon such a success and hope to attract a lot of visitors to discover the town’s industries.”
Ms O’Driscoll said the event and the promotion of Bradford on Avon across the county and the country received a welcome boost when the town became a city for a day earlier this month, winning a BBC 5 Live competition and having a show broadcast from the town.
