A new beauty salon will be opened by former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies in Bradford on Avon on Tuesday.

The Beauty Spot, in Market Street, will be officially opened at 10am by the TV presenter.

The salon is being run by Courtney Wicheard, 23, and business partner Tracey Tyler.

Miss Wicheard said: "I am so excited to get going and the place looks gorgeous, we have really tried to put a lot of thought into its appearance and I hope people like it.

"I’m also really thankful to Sharron Davies, who has been amazing, her son goes to school with my little girl and I asked her to open the Beauty Spot and I’m very pleased she agreed to do it."

Miss Wicheard, of Priory Close, will be baking cakes for the grand opening and giving guests champagne.

She said: "I’m a Bradford on Avon girl and I want the Beauty Spot to be a big part of the town. So, to say hello I’ll be baking cakes all week for anyone who fancies popping in."
