Bradford on Avon torch visit celebrated in new DVD

Footage of the Olympic Torch Relay passing through Bradford on Avon has been released on DVD today.

The 18-minute video, commissioned by Bradford on Avon Community Network (Boacan), has coverage of the May 22 event, including the relay, music performances and scenes reflecting the general atmosphere during a memorable day in Bradford on Avon’s history.

The DVD, made by photographer Jon Durrant, is available at the town’s Tourist Information Centre, in West-bury Gardens, Art is in The Name, in Silver Street, and the Made in Bradford shop, in Lamb Yard.

It costs £10 and any profits made will be donated to local charities.

Boacan chairman David Gregory said: “It was a one-off event in the history of Bradford on Avon and we’ve made this to commemorate the milestone event.

“It features the passage of the relay through the town, but also celebrates the town’s creativity, focusing on some of the amazing music artists who performed during the day of celebration.”
