Two men appeared at North West Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court today in connection with a drugs raid at a Bradford Leigh farm in January when about £225,000 worth of cannabis was seized by police.
Adam James, 22, of Skylark Road, Melksham, appeared charged with being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of Class B.
While, Michael Stephen Smith, 61, of Main Street, Keevil, appeared charged with producing a conrolled drug of Class B.
The charges relate to a raid, part of a joint operation between Wiltshire Police and Avon and Somerset Police, which found about 600 plants in various stages of growth at Fairfield Piggeries, Leigh Road, on January 25.
Neither entered a plea at the court in Chippenham and are both expected to return to North West Wiltshire Magistrates' Court for a committal hearing on Friday, October 12.
