Chippenham fitness fanatics were among 3,000 across the country to take part in a synchronised high intensity workout routine.

Ninety people turned out to Hardenhuish School and were among 35 Glow classes trying to set a world record for the largest high-intensity interval training class.

Glow is a nationwide franchise that brings high-energy work-out classes together with nutritional guidance and coaching on weight management.

Roz Chandler, who was leading the class, said: “It feels brilliant to have been part of such a wonderful event.

“The atmosphere was completely amazing and the energy that radiated from the participants was electric.

“They arrived as strangers and left as friends.”

The largest dance fitness class in the Guinness Book of Records involved 6,630 participants and was achieved in Mexico City in 2012.
