AN articulated lorry laden with beef overturned at a Chippenham roundabout in the early hours of Tuesday.
The 38-tonne lorry, carrying 200 carcasses of 80kg each, fell on its side at the Malmesbury Road A350 junction at 1.34am.
The 47-year-old driver was trapped in the DAF truck with the engine running, but he eventually got out unharmed.
Water was mixing with leaked diesel exhaust fluid as it started to rain at 4.20am and a fire crew contained the spillage.
The A350 was closed between 7.30pm and 9.20pm on Tuesday while the lorry was recovered. Traffic was diverted through Langley Burrell.
