A MAN who was involved in the trade in hard drugs in Chippenham has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Abdul Yusuf, 26, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
And Yusuf also admitted obstructing a police officer where he was arrested on Tuesday, July 1, last year.
Yusuf, from Roehampton, south west London, was peddling the drugs from a house in Fitzwarren Close, Pewsham.
He had been due to face trial a week before Christmas but after he failed to turn up for the hearing a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yusuf was brought before the court last week and when he was not granted bail he asked for the charges to be put again and he pleaded guilty.
Recorder Maria Lamb adjourned the case to Thursday, September 10, so a pre-sentence report could be prepared and remanded him in custody until then.
She said: "All option will be open and the most likely outcome will be immediate custody."
